Ho Chi Minh City won the National Talent Tennis Tournament

The final matches of the U16 and U18 men's singles on October 13 determined the final two champions of the season. Tran Duc Minh (Hanoi) won the U16 men's singles title after a 2-0 (7-6, 6-0) victory over Nguyen Trung Khang (Becamex Binh Duong), while Nguyen Dai Khanh (Becamex Binh Duong) defeated Nguyen Minh Phat (HCMC) 2-0 (6-2, 6-4) to become the U18 men's singles champion.

Throughout the season, despite unfavorable weather, with rainy days causing some matches to be postponed, the tournament was still successful and left many good impressions.

Previously, the organizing committee also awarded prizes for the remaining 18 events, creating conditions for young athletes to have time to return to cultural studies.

In the end, the Ho Chi Minh City delegation won first place with 9 gold medals, second place was the Military unit with 4 gold medals and third place was Becamex Binh Duong unit with 3 gold medals.

The 2024 National Talent Tennis Championship took place from October 3 to 13, attracting nearly 300 players from 17 provinces/cities/industries to compete in 20 events including ages from U8 to U18.

Through national youth tennis tournaments, the Vietnam Tennis Federation focuses on training young players, creating opportunities for young players to exchange and compete, and at the same time finding potential faces for future national tennis teams.
