At the welcoming ceremony, Mr. Ho Ky Minh - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City - said that Da Nang City has just merged from Da Nang City and Quang Nam Province with an area of nearly 12,000 km2, a population of over 3 million people, space and space for strong development, with two international airports, three large seaports and a fairly synchronous transportation system, connecting seamlessly along the North - South and East - West axes.

Through the working trip of the Oregon House of Representatives, the city hopes that Mr. Daniel Loc Nguyen and the members of the delegation, with their positions, roles and responsibilities, will continue to pay attention and act as a bridge to further strengthen the relationship between Oregon and Da Nang city, thereby opening up many cooperation opportunities between the two sides in the coming time - Mr. Ho Ky Minh emphasized.
During the welcoming ceremony, Congressman Daniel Loc Nguyen said that Oregon is located on the west coast of the United States, between Washington and California, with many different developed industries, notably those in the high-tech, agricultural and some other sectors.
We have universities and innovation research centers that work with Intel and several other large companies in the field of semiconductors and AI. I think that these are areas in which we can share common interests with Da Nang city" - the Deputy said.
He also emphasized the importance of cooperation between the parties to together overcome difficulties caused by the impact of trade-related policies.
Expressed his desire to contribute to strengthening cooperation between the United States in general and the state of Oregon in particular with Da Nang partners, especially in areas such as high-tech manufacturing, semiconductors, artificial intelligence, agricultural and food products, forestry and wood; at the same time, strengthen cooperation in the fields of trade and consulting services, research, and market orientation.
