During the peak period of food safety inspection and supervision in the area, on September 23, Market Management Team No. 3, Market Management Department of Da Nang City simultaneously increased inspection and tightened supervision of food businesses.
As a result, the authorities have continuously detected and handled two violations related to food trading of unknown origin. All goods without labels, invoices, or legal documents have been recorded, fined, and forced to be destroyed in accordance with regulations
At a prepackaged food business household in Thanh Khe ward, the authorities discovered that the owner of the establishment was selling 12 packages of freeze mushrooms (100g/package) and 10 packages of buckwheat (200g/package) without invoices or documents proving their origin. The owner admitted that these goods were floating on the market, with the total value of the violation determined to be 1.11 million VND.

Also on the same day, when conducting a surprise inspection of another business household in An Khe ward, Market Management Team No. 3 discovered many types of food without product labels, documents, and legal invoices proving the origin of the goods, specifically: 10kg of young chicken eggs, 7kg of corn, 7kg of kham, 7kg of fish cakes, 5.5kg of rice squid, 5kg of chicken cartilage, and 3.5kg of yellow whale. The total value of the violated goods was determined to be 3.45 million VND.
In response to the above violations, Market Management Team No. 3 issued a decision to administratively sanction both business households with a total fine of 5.5 million VND, and forced the destruction of all violating goods to prevent risks affecting public health.
Market Management Team No. 3 affirmed that it will continue to strengthen inspection, supervision, and strict handling of acts of trading in smuggled and unknown-origin foods, determined to protect the legitimate rights of consumers, and maintain a safe and healthy business environment in the area.
