ITE HCMC 2025 is expected to be a breakthrough model for Vietnam tourism

HCMC - ITE HCMC 2025 Fair is expected to be a model for the breakthrough and creativity of the Vietnamese tourism industry in times of fluctuations in the global economy.

On April 11, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism said that the ITE HCMC 2025 - the most prestigious and largest international tourism fair in Vietnam and the 19th downstream area of the Mekong River will officially take place on September 4-6 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), District 7. This year's fair has the theme of Sustainable Tourism, a vibrant experience.

The event is expected to attract more than 520 exhibitors, 50 localities in Vietnam to participate in the exhibition, 240 high-end buyers from more than 30 countries and territories (up 10% compared to 2024) and more than 28,000 visitors (up 12% compared to 2024). At the same time, the event contributed to creating 12,600 B2B trade appointments between international tourism businesses and Vietnam.

This year's fair is expected to have 16 main activities connecting trade, forums, conferences, and seminars.

In particular, within the framework of the fair, Ho Chi Minh City hosted the General Assembly of Tourism Promotion of Global cities (TPO) 12th in 2025 with the theme "Shaping the future of the tourism industry: towards digital transformation and green conversion". TPO was founded in 2002 in Fukuoka, Japan aimed at the connection network, promoting tourism promotion in tourist cities in the region.

For the first time, ITE HCMC 2025 took place at the same time and location as the 3rd Viet Nam International Sourcing event organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade in coordination with the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City. Among them, there are outstanding activities such as the 2025 Export Forum, the International Supply Chain Exhibition gathering nearly 500 Vietnamese enterprises, more than 300 distribution channels and prestigious importers from more than 60 countries and territories.

Improving the competitiveness of Vietnam's tourism

Mr. Le Truong Hien Hoa - Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism - shared that the ITE HCMC 2025 Fair is expected to be a model for the breakthrough and creativity of the Vietnamese tourism industry in a period of change of global economic sectors, including tourism.

This is also a bridge for domestic tourism associations and tourism businesses to unanimously improve competitiveness and create attractiveness for Vietnamese tourism compared to other countries in the region as well as in the international tourism market.

Coming to this year's fair, businesses and partners in the Vietnamese and international tourism industry will have many opportunities to connect and cooperate in a professional, modern and vibrant trading space. The fair is a meeting place for domestic and foreign tourism businesses, especially those in the Mekong Delta, to seek business partners and provide diverse products to customers.

The event is also a place for units to access new products and business models, towards sustainable tourism development. At the same time, localities and tourism businesses also have the opportunity to introduce typical tourism products and unique experiences of Vietnam in general and Ho Chi Minh City to international tourists.

According to Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, ITE HCMC Fair is honored with the best trade exhibition in Asia (Asia’s Best Trade Show) at the 2024 MICE MICE Award affirming the stature and quality of the event in the international arena. This is the only tourism fair in Vietnam with an international buyer program, playing an important role in promoting international tourists to Vietnam.
