Large quantity of food of unknown origin seized

Market Management Team No. 18 discovered, inspected and handled a business location in Ho Chi Minh City that was selling a large amount of unlabeled food of unknown origin.

Through the implementation of professional measures and area management, Market Management Team No. 18 discovered that a business location and storage of goods at Hamlet 52, Tran Thi Boc Street, Thoi Tam Thon Commune, Hoc Mon District, was offering food for sale on social networks, so it coordinated with the Economic and Drug Crime Investigation Police Team - Hoc Mon District Police and the Commune Police to conduct an inspection.

At the time of inspection, the business location owned by Mr. P.T.D was operating without a business registration certificate.

The goods being stored and traded have no labels, unknown origin, no invoices or legal documents as prescribed, including 100 kg of dried peaches and 290 boxes of 230 grams/box of dried shrimp.

Market Management Team No. 18 has temporarily detained all of the above-mentioned violating goods, made a record and transferred it to the Ho Chi Minh City Market Management Department for punishment according to its authority.

In the coming time, Market Management Team No. 18 will continue to coordinate with relevant agencies and units to regularly exchange information and closely monitor e-commerce business activities in the area to promptly inspect and prevent tricks of taking advantage of e-commerce activities to violate the law.
