Gia Lai The authorities have just confiscated thousands of sets of clothes of unknown origin.

On November 3, the Gia Lai Provincial Market Management Department issued a decision to administratively sanction L.T. LLC (An Khe ward) with VND70 million for trading in used clothes of unknown origin.

Previously, on October 22, Market Management Team No. 6 under the Gia Lai Provincial Market Management Department coordinated with the Economic Police Department - Gia Lai Provincial Police to conduct a surprise inspection of the business location of this company in residential group 3, An Binh Ward.

At the scene, the authorities discovered a large quantity of used ready-made clothing products, packed in 20 sacks.

At the time of inspection, all of the above goods did not have invoices or documents proving their origin; the products and accompanying documents did not have a basis to determine the place of manufacture or origin of the goods.

Market Management Team No. 6 temporarily detained the goods to verify and clarify the violations.

Through the work, it was determined that there were 4,000 violating clothing products, with a total value of 80 million VND. The unit has consolidated the case file to handle administrative violations against the company for trading in goods of unknown origin.

In addition to being administratively sanctioned, this company was also subject to a penalty of confiscating all the violating clothes to carry out handling procedures according to the provisions of law.
