The People's Committee of Hai Duong province has just issued a Decision to establish a Working Group to lead and direct the implementation of a peak period of fighting to prevent and repel smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and infringement of intellectual property rights in the province.
The working group is headed by Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Chau. The working group is responsible for directing departments, branches and localities to strictly organize inspections and control the market and circulation of goods, especially for essential consumer goods, food, medicine, cosmetics, milk, agricultural supplies, gasoline, wine, beer, and soft drinks.
In addition, the inspection and supervision of e-commerce activities, social networks and the digital environment - channels that are easily exploited to trade in smuggled goods, counterfeit goods, and false advertising - is also focused on during this peak period.
The working group is also responsible for directing functional forces to closely coordinate, promptly detect and strictly handle acts of smuggling, trade fraud and organized production and trading of counterfeit goods; at the same time, strictly handle collectives and individuals with signs of covering up and assisting violations.
