On February 15, 1965, in the context of many difficulties in the country, President Ho Chi Minh directly visited and encouraged cadres and people of Nam Chinh commune (now Tran Phu commune, Nam Sach district, Hai Duong province). That historic visit is an important event, becoming a great source of encouragement, adding confidence and strength to the local people in labor, production and combat.
From Uncle Tran Phu's kind advice, the people of Tran Phu have constantly strived to overcome difficulties and rise up. From a poor countryside with a hard life, a poor environment and medical conditions, Tran Phu has gradually become one of the leading localities in the province in the movement of disease prevention and hygiene and patriotic emulation movements.
The spirit of " Following Uncle Ho's words" has become a guideline, a strong motivation for the whole commune to strive and achieve Uncle Ho's achievements. His past visit was not only an honor and encouragement for the cadres and people in the commune but also a milestone in the development history of the Nam Sach District Party Committee and Hai Duong Province.
To remember that special event, President Ho Chi Minh Memorial Area was solemnly built in Tran Phu commune. The middle space is the place to worship Uncle Ho - the heart of the building. The statue is cast in bronze, solemnly placed on the altar, the two sides are two lotus vases - the flower symbolizes the high, simple but great personality of the person.
The space here is even more sacred because the system of wooden bars and pillars is associated with large, gold-painted borderline lines with famous quotes such as: "Forever grateful to the great President Ho Chi Minh", "Nothing is more precious than independence and freedom".
The two sides of the central space are the place to display valuable images and documents about Uncle Ho's visit to Nam Sach district in 1965 and the leaders of the Party, the State and Hai Duong Province visited the monument area. This is a meaningful space for people and tourists to review the tradition, educate patriotism and arouse the spirit of national pride, especially in the younger generation.
Every year, on important occasions such as February 15 (Uncle Ho's visit to the commune), October 19's birthday, September 2, the government and people of Nam Sach district and Nam Chinh commune respectfully organize incense offering and flower offering in memory of him.
On other holidays and Tet, the Relic Management Board still regularly opens the doors to welcome people and visitors from all over to worship and show respect for the great leader of the nation.
The memorial area is also a "red address" for extracurricular activities and hands-on learning for students, contributing to educating revolutionary traditions, fostering the ideal of life and the desire to contribute to the young generation of Hai Duong today and tomorrow.
