Hai Duong - Hai Duong is actively improving the quality of education to prepare for merger with Hai Phong.

At the conference to honor excellent students and outstanding collectives and individuals for the 2024-2025 school year held on May 19, Chairman of Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Chau said that in the coming time, together with the whole country, Hai Duong will enter a new stage of development when implementing the policy of arranging administrative units at the commune level, removing district level and moving towards merging with Hai Phong City.

This is a great opportunity, but at the same time poses challenges for the education sector in management, organization and improvement of teaching quality.

The merger of the two localities not only expands development space but also requires compatible quality and education policies.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee proposes to prepare well the conditions of facilities, teaching equipment, staff and teachers as well as the content of the program and educational activities to implement the policy of teaching 2 sessions/day at elementary and secondary schools under the direction of the General Secretary.

The education sector needs to proactively develop policies to attract good teachers, encourage good students to become pedagogical majors, and discover and nurture good students from junior high school level. At the same time, take the lead in digital transformation, technology application, infrastructure construction and digital content development.

The Chairman of Hai Duong province expects the Hai Duong education sector to promote tradition, innovation, proactively adapt to new period requirements, actively contribute to the process of building a unified urban area - Hai Phong City to expand - to become the leading high-quality educational center in the Red River Delta, striving to be an international center for education, research, science and technology and marine economy by 2030.
