Over the years, designer Vu Thao Giang has created a series of collections to promote the images of lands and cultural heritages through traditional ao dai. Typical projects include: "Northeast Breathing", "Viet Bac Fragrance", "Heritage Colors", associated with cultural tourism events. For Vu Thao Giang, each ao dai is not only an outfit but also a "cultural ambassador", bringing the historical values, beliefs, nature and people of Vietnam closer to the domestic public and international friends.
At the program "Cau River - Heritage Stream", an event organized by the People's Committee of Bac Kan province to introduce and promote intangible cultural heritage associated with tourism development, the young designer cleverly conveyed the spirit of heritage through 6 collections inspired by the natural beauty, cultural life and famous landmarks along the Cau River basin.

Designer Vu Thao Giang shared: "Every land I pass through, every cultural feature I explore, leaves me with very deep emotions. I hope that through each ao dai design, beautiful natural images and cultural treasure trove inspired by the tangible and intangible cultures of the Northeastern provinces, more people will know, love and be proud of them. For me, Vietnamese ao dai is not only a symbol of fashion, but also a journey connecting history, tradition and the future".
Previously, at the 2022 Work Summary Conference of the Tourism Development Linkage Group between Ho Chi Minh City and 8 Northeastern provinces held in the Ba Be Lake area, Ba Be district, Bac Kan province, designer Vu Thao Giang was honored to be one of the authors receiving the outstanding tourism product design award. This is a worthy recognition for their persistent efforts in combining fashion and heritage to promote the image of local tourism.
