The Miss Ao Dai Vietnam Global Heritage 2026 contest has gathered contestants who, despite differences in age, occupation, and each having their own story, have met in love for the Vietnamese ao dai and want to contribute to promoting the beauty and culture of the nation.
Designer Cao Thu Van - Head of the Organizing Committee of the contest said that the contest is built with the goal of contributing to making the ao dai become a cultural identity symbol of Vietnam on the world map.
According to Master, Businesswoman Dam Huong Thuy - Founder of the contest, the most important criterion of the contest is not only beauty but also understanding of culture, history, heritage values and the ability to spread those values to the community.
Head of the Jury - People's Artist Lan Huong assessed, "Throughout history, including in difficult war periods, the role of Vietnamese women has always been extremely important. In the past, women were often mentioned for their qualities of publicity, virtue, etiquette, and the role of keeping the fire in the family. Today, they have more opportunities to affirm their abilities in society, not only contributing to building a home but also making important contributions to the economic, cultural and social development of the country".
After sightseeing and charity activities, the Top 20 outstanding contestants will enter the stage of strengthening training to prepare for the Final Night of Miss Ao Dai Vietnam Global Heritage 2026 at 8:00 PM on June 20 at the Outdoor Studio of Vietnam Television.
A new and different thing about the Miss Vietnam Global Ao Dai Heritage 2026 contest is expanding the contestants to 45 years old. Many contestants at this age have confidence and clear, specific goals.
Contestants will compete in the Ao Dai Colors of Heritage performances, innovative and integrated Ao Dai performances, heritage evening gown performances and Q&A competitions revolving around the topics of Ao Dai, the value of modern women and social responsibility. The contest will not have a bikini competition like other beauty contests.
