On August 10, Quy Nhon Ward Police (Gia Lai Province) are consolidating records to handle Nguyen Thanh H and Mai Van T (both born in 2008, residing in Quy Nhon Tay Ward) for the act of property theft.
Previously, Quy Nhon Ward Police received a report from Mr. Phan Tuan Kiet - legal name Thich Quang Tuan (born in 1998, residing in Quy Nhon Ward) - about two subjects breaking into the pagoda at around 4:00 p.m. on August 7, stealing an iron roll and breaking the concerned bucket (nhoning box) to get money.
Through verification, the police force determined that H and T were the culprits of the theft. At the police station, both of them confessed that they had dropped out of school and lived a wandering life. On the afternoon of August 7, H and T went to the pagoda to steal an iron roll and smash the donation box, but there was no money inside.
After that, the two sold the iron coil to a scrap shop for 135,000 VND, then divided it among themselves to spend.
