On May 26, speaking with Lao Dong reporter, the Vietnam Youth Union (VY Union) said that as part of the series of activities of the 2025 "Youth Workers' Day - spreading positive energy" organized by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union in coordination with relevant units, in Hung Nguyen district (Nghe An province), a health check-up, consultation and free medicine distribution program for more than 1,000 youth union members and workers took place last weekend.
To serve the examination, distribution of medicine and health consultation for young workers, the Organizing Committee mobilized more than 50 doctors and nurses from the Department of Health, the Provincial Young Physicians Association, Military Hospital 4, Hung Nguyen District Medical Center, and Saigon Nghe An Eye Hospital.
At the program, young workers and people were screened for common diseases such as high blood pressure, synthetic endometriosis, and also received in-depth examinations for specialties: Dentistry - Marrow - face, Ears - Nose - throat, Eye, Obstetrics and Gynecology...
In addition, patients are also indicated to perform paraclinical services such as: general ultrasound, thyroid ultrasound, chest X-ray, electrocardiogram.
Deputy Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Youth Union Ho Phuc Hai said that the 2025 Workers' Youth Festival will be held in Nghe An with many activities, and grassroots delegations of factories, enterprises, and industrial parks with workers and laborers working in the province will be very interested and respond.
These programs help affirm the role of the Youth Union and Association in caring for, supporting, gathering, uniting, educating and fostering young workers, contributing to building a strong working class associated with the socio-economic development strategy, said Mr. Hai.
According to the Vietnam Youth Union, the 2025 Youth Union - Propagating Positive Energy Festival series organized by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union in coordination with TCP Vietnam Co., Ltd. in 3 cities: Bac Giang (11.5), Dong Nai (18.5), Nghe An (25.5) attracted more than 6,000 young workers to participate; 3,000 young workers received free consultation, medical examination and treatment, medicine and gifts; nearly 100 gifts were given in the lucky draw program, including 6 Honda Wave RSX motorbikes were awarded with a total prize of nearly 300 million VND.
The Festival series is organized to equip knowledge and life skills; improve physical and spiritual life and strengthen solidarity in the young workers' community, especially in industrial parks, export processing zones, and non-state enterprises. This is also an opportunity for businesses to accompany, demonstrate social responsibility and concern for young workers.
