On the afternoon of April 13, An Giang Provincial Police held a meeting to celebrate the 80th Anniversary of the Traditional Day of the People's Public Security Staff Force (April 18, 1946 - April 18, 2026).
In a solemn atmosphere, the delegates together reviewed the 80-year journey of building, fighting and growing up of the People's Public Security Staff Force - a force playing a core role in the work of summarizing, analyzing, forecasting the situation, strategic advice and organizing command and operation of all aspects of Public Security work.
At An Giang Provincial Police, the Staff force has been proactive and sensitive in grasping the situation, promptly advising the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of the Provincial Police to lead and direct the effective implementation of many policies and solutions to ensure security and order in the area. In particular, in the context of the security and order situation having many complex developments, the Staff force has promoted the role of a comprehensive "brain", improving the quality of forecasting and accurate and timely advice, contributing to maintaining political stability and serving the socio-economic development of the locality.
Speaking at the meeting, Major General Nguyen Van Han - Director of the Provincial Police acknowledged and praised the great contributions of the Provincial Police Staff force through various periods. The comrade emphasized that in the current period, the requirements for ensuring security and order are increasing, requiring the Staff force to continue to innovate thinking, improve qualifications, political bravery and professional capacity; strengthen the application of science and technology, digital transformation in staff work; proactively grasp the situation, not to be passive or surprised in any situation.
The Director of the Provincial Police also requested the Advisory force to continue to promote the glorious 80-year tradition, solidarity, responsibility, dedication, improve the quality of generalization, analysis, and forecasting work; advise accurately, accurately, and promptly, contributing to building the An Giang Provincial Police force to be truly clean, strong, regular, elite, and modern, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new situation.
In order to recognize and commend the efforts, striving and results achieved in performing tasks, at the meeting, Major General Nguyen Van Han awarded the Government's Emulation Flag to the collective of the An Giang Provincial Police Staff Department for their outstanding achievements, leading the emulation movement "For National Security", making important contributions to national security protection and ensuring social order and safety in 2025.
On this occasion, the Ministry of Public Security awarded Certificates of Merit to 1 collective and 2 individuals with outstanding and unexpected achievements in the special emulation movement to celebrate the 8th National Congress of the Central Public Security Party Committee, the 14th National Party Congress and the 80th Anniversary of the Traditional Day of the People's Public Security Staff Force. In addition, the Director of the Provincial Police also awarded Certificates of Merit to 7 collectives and 7 individuals who won First, Second, and Third prizes in the Contest to learn about the 80th Anniversary of the Traditional Day of the People's Public Security Staff Force.
