On February 26, a working delegation of the Military Command (CHQS) of An Giang province led by Colonel Cao Minh Tam, Deputy Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command, came to inspect the situation of young people ready for military service and the preparation for the 2026 military service handover and reception ceremony at the 6-Ngoc Chuc Regional Defense Command and the Military Commands of communes and wards in the area.
Reporting at the conference, the 6-Ngoc Chuc Regional Defense Command said that so far 100% of young people who passed the military service and performed the obligation to participate in the People's Police have received enlistment orders; their minds are stable, reassured, and ready to set off to perform their duties. Localities have organized meetings, visits, and gifts to encourage young people; and at the same time grasp the family situation, especially those in difficult circumstances, to provide timely support.
The preparation for the handover and reception ceremony was carried out closely and in accordance with instructions. The area of the platform, ceremony, welcome gate decoration, banners, and slogans was completed. Plans to ensure security and order, fire and explosion prevention, traffic regulation, and organize the reception of new recruits were built specifically, closely to reality, ensuring absolute safety.
At the conference, agencies and units proposed a number of contents such as: strengthening coordination to strictly manage youth before military service; supporting funding and means for organizational work; paying attention to regimes and policies for the military rear; ensuring good propaganda work, creating a joyful atmosphere among the people.
Answering the opinions, Colonel Cao Minh Tam acknowledged the sense of responsibility of the units; and clarified some contents about the organization process of the Military Service Handover and Reception Ceremony, personnel management, policies for enlisted youth and families.
The comrade requested agencies and units to continue to carefully review each stage, firmly grasp the developments of youth ideology; proactively and promptly handle arising situations; closely coordinate with Party committees and local authorities to organize the 2026 military service handover and reception ceremony solemnly, safely, in accordance with regulations, completing 100% of the assigned targets, ensuring quality.
