On August 13, the People's Procuracy (VKSND) of Dak Lak province informed that the VKSND of Region 6 had just coordinated with the People's Court of the same level to organize an online trial to try defendant Duong Sinh Tan (resident of Lam Dong province) for the crime of "Illegally trading drugs"; Ma Van Long (resident of Lam Dong province) and Hoang Quoc Bao (resident of Dak Lak province) for the crime of "Illegally possessing drugs".
According to the indictment of the People's Procuracy of Region 6, at about 5:30 pm on December 16, 2025, Ma Van Long called Hoang Quoc Bao to contribute 200,000 VND to buy drugs for use. Bao agreed.
After that, Long drove a motorbike to Bao's house to buy drugs. At about 6:30 pm on the same day, the two came to Dak Mang village, Dam Rong 3 commune and bought 4 silver paper packages containing 0.5223g of heroin from Duong Sinh Tan for 800,000 VND.
At about 4 am on December 17, 2025, Long drove a motorbike carrying Bao, carrying the above drugs to find a location to use. When they arrived in the Dak To Mut hamlet area, Krong No commune, both were discovered and caught red-handed by Krong No Commune Police.
Based on the investigation results, the People's Procuracy of Region 6 prosecuted Duong Sinh Tan for the crime of "Illegally trading drugs"; Ma Van Long and Hoang Quoc Bao for the crime of "Illegally possessing drugs".
The Trial Panel of the District 6 People's Court sentenced Duong Sinh Tan to 3 years and 6 months in prison for the crime of "Illegally trading in narcotics".
Ma Van Long was sentenced to 3 years and 6 months in prison, while Hoang Quoc Bao received a sentence of 3 years and 3 months in prison, both for the crime of "Illegally possessing narcotics".
