On January 16, the Center for Rural Water Supply and Environmental Sanitation of Bac Lieu province announced that it had announced a possible shortage of domestic water during the dry season of 2025.
Notably, the shortage of fresh water for daily life in rural areas may occur before, during and after Tet At Ty in 2025.
The reason for the lack of clean water is explained by the Center for Rural Water and Environment of Bac Lieu province due to the sudden increase in customers' demand for domestic water during the Lunar New Year of At Ty in 2025, which can cause water supply systems to be overloaded, lack capacity during peak hours (or have damage), leading to weak water, water shortage or damage to the water supply pipeline network.
To ensure the stable supply of water before, during and after the Lunar New Year for people to use in communes, wards, towns, districts, towns and cities during the Lunar New Year 2025, the Center for Clean Water and Rural Environmental Sanitation of Bac Lieu province informs agencies and units of communes, wards and towns to support information for people, agencies, enterprises, schools, medical stations... in the area in time to have plans and measures to store water in available water containers at home from January 16 until after the Lunar New Year.
The center also calls on people to use water sparingly and avoid waste to ensure enough water for daily use in the coming time. If customers do not need to use water or plan to leave the house for a long time, please turn off the valve after the water meter to avoid loss and waste of clean water.
