On July 25, Can Tho City Police said that Nhon Ai Commune Police had just arrested a group of subjects who robbed property on Nguyen Van Cu Street.
According to Can Tho City Police, at around 00:00 on July 24, N.T.B was driving a motorbike on the extended Nguyen Van Cu route, from the city center to his home in Tan Thuan Hamlet, Nhon Ai Commune, Can Tho City.
When crossing No Can Xa Bridge (in Nhon Phu 2 Hamlet, Nhon Ai Commune), 4 young men (including 2 men and 2 women) on 2 motorbikes approached and used a knife to threaten N.T.B to give money. Seeing N.T.B only giving away 50,000 VND, the subjects told N.T.B to give away the wallet. Seeing that there was no more money, the subjects took N.T.B's motorbike and drove on National Highway 61C towards Can Tho City.
After receiving the case, with a spirit of urgency and determination in fighting against crime, Nhon Ai Commune Police have synchronously deployed many professional measures to verify and trace the subject.
As a result, at 11:33 p.m. on July 24, the Commune Police force ambushed and arrested a group of young men, including: Nguyen Pham Phi Hung (born in 2008, Ninh Kieu Ward); Nguyen Brazil (born in 2008, Thoi Phong area, O Mon Ward); Tran Ngoc Duy (born in 2004, Thoi Thanh Hamlet, Phong Dien Commune); Tran Ngoc Huyen (born in 2009, Thoi Thanh Hamlet, Phong Dien Commune).
At the police station, the subjects confessed that due to not having a stable job, they had the intention and committed the act of robbing property to sell for personal expenses.
Nhon Ai Commune Police are continuing to verify and clarify the case to handle it according to regulations.
