On November 21, at the office of the Southern Working Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, representatives of the Binance Charity charity fund presented 200,000 USD (more than 5.2 billion VND), supporting people in the Central provinces and cities to overcome the consequences of storms and floods.
Mr. Nguyen Hai Nam, Deputy Chief of Office of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in Ho Chi Minh City, expressed his gratitude to the enterprise for giving good feelings, sharing, and helping mentally and materially, contributing with the Party and State to support people to overcome the damage caused by storms and floods.
Expressing his deep sympathy for the heavy losses that people have suffered due to the historic flood, Mr. SB Seker, Director of Binance Asia - Pacific (APAC), said: "We hope that this contribution will partly support those facing countless difficulties in the past, while helping local communities rebuild more strongly".
Speaking with the leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Binance Charity representatives expressed their commitment to accompanying the community, from emergency support, efforts to enhance sustainable adaptation.
Last year, when Typhoon Yagi swept through Vietnam, Binance Charity launched an emergency relief campaign for users in the affected area. In the same year, Binance sponsored the RO industrial salinity water filtration system in 10 localities affected by salinity intrusion in the Mekong Delta.
Previously, Binance Charity helped Vietnam overcome the Covid-19 pandemic, support medical masks for the front line of epidemic prevention, donate ventilators and PCR testing systems to hospitals. In Binh Thuan, Binance Charity cooperates with the Earthworm Foundation to plant 10,000 trees, improve the ecosystem and create livelihoods for local people.
