Blockchain for Vietnam initiative
On July 17, 2025, Binance - the world's largest blockchain ecosystem - announced the "Blockchain for Vietnam" initiative with the ambition of promoting Vietnam to become a new regional center for blockchain technology and innovation.
The high blockchain acceptance rate for many consecutive years, talented human resources, and open legal approach are important reasons for Binance to commit to expanding long-term investment in Vietnam.
The Blockchain for Vietnam initiative is expected to last continuously for 2 years, from July 2025 to July 7, 2027. This is part of Binance's global mission to promote sustainable blockchain application, supporting digital economies with a progressive mindset.
This sponsorship will focus on 3 strategic pillars:
- Promote education and raise awareness of blockchain in the community.
- Increase the application of block chain technology in Vietnam's competitive advantage areas such as agriculture and tourism.
- Providing scholarships to students with a passion for technology nationwide, to build blockchain human resources for the future.
According to Ms. Lynn Hoang, Country Director of Binance, investing more than 1 million USD in the "Blockchain for Vietnam" initiative demonstrates Binance's long-standing determination to accompany Vietnam on the digital transformation journey.
After the initial phase, Binance is ready to expand the initiative to increase impact and make practical contributions to the Vietnamese digital economy in the following years.
Binance commits to long-term cooperation with Vietnam
This is not the first time Binance has implemented the initiative in Vietnam. Through Binance Charity, Binance has supported Vietnam since 2021 in many community activities, showing strong solidarity and long-term commitment to development in this strategic market.
In parallel with humanitarian efforts, Binance also focuses on education, considering it the foundation for the long-term development of the blockchain ecosystem. Through Binance Academy, Binance experts have collaborated with more than 60 universities and colleges in 18 provinces and cities across the country to bring blockchain technology to the curriculum.
These programs not only popularize knowledge, but also promote the formation of a generation of developers, researchers and young human resources who are passionate about block chain technology, thereby contributing to building an increasingly strong and solid Vietnamese blockchain community on the global technology map.
