The project to purchase information technology equipment at the commune level aims to equip new and synchronously upgrade computers (with Windows operating system licenses), printers, scanners for communes, wards and commune-level public administrative service centers, ensuring to meet the requirements of operating information systems, specialized software, electronic document processing and providing online public services.

In addition, the project invests in upgrading network infrastructure, equipping equipment to ensure information safety and security, capable of sharing loads, serving stable access needs of officials, civil servants, public employees and people. The Wi-Fi system at the headquarters of commune and ward People's Committees and commune-level public administrative centers has also expanded coverage, improved connection quality, and created favorable conditions for people to look up and register for online public services right at the application receiving location.
The project belongs to group B, implemented in 64 communes and wards in Ca Mau province. Implementation time from 2026 – 2027, in which the period 2025 – 2026 implements investment preparation work; the period 2026 – 2027 deploys investment and ends the project.
The investor is the Department of Science and Technology of Ca Mau province, fully responsible for the accuracy of information and data in the investment policy proposal report; and at the same time, preside over and coordinate with relevant units to complete dossiers and procedures, implement the project on schedule, ensure quality, efficiency and prevent loss and waste of state budget.
The Investment Policy Appraisal Council is responsible for the order, procedures and appraisal results of the project. The Ca Mau Provincial Department of Finance is responsible for advising on balancing and allocating sufficient capital to ensure that the project is implemented in accordance with the plan and legal regulations.
