According to the provisions of the Labor Code, employees are entitled to 1 day off for the Hung Kings Commemoration Day (March 10th of the lunar calendar) and 2 days off on April 30th - May 1st.
Accordingly, Hung Kings' Death Anniversary falls on Sunday, April 26th of the solar calendar. Due to coinciding with the weekend holiday, workers are given an additional day off on the next Monday, which is April 27th of the solar calendar.
Including weekend holidays, the Hung Kings Commemoration Day holiday is 3 consecutive days off, from April 25 to April 27.
The April 30th and May 1st holidays can last 4 days, including 2 holidays and 2 weekends. In which, workers who do not have to work on Saturdays and Sundays will be off from April 30th (Thursday) to May 3rd (Sunday).
Notably, the two holidays Hung Kings Commemoration Day and April 30 - May 1 take place close together.
Workers are off for the Hung Kings Commemoration Festival from April 25 - April 27, then go back to work for 2 days April 28 (Tuesday) and April 29 (Wednesday). From Thursday (April 30), everyone continues to enter the April 30 - May 1 holiday and goes back to work on May 4.
The Ministry of Home Affairs said that there is no policy to swap holiday schedules in April. The holiday schedule is applied to state agencies, officials, civil servants and public employees.
For the group of enterprises, in addition to arranging leave according to the Labor Code, work schedules can be exchanged based on agreements between employers and employees.
