On August 12, Lao Cai Provincial Police informed that the Criminal Police Department had just coordinated with Bao Yen Commune Police to quickly arrest 2 subjects for robbery in the area.
Previously, on August 10, Bao Yen Commune Police received a report about a case with signs of robbery of Ms. Phan Thi Lan (born in 1961, residing in Mui 1 Village, Bao Yen Commune) that occurred in Mui 1 Village.
While Ms. Lan was at home alone, the subjects broke into her house, assaulted her, controlled her and robbed her.
Upon receiving the report, the Criminal Police Department, Lao Cai Provincial Police and other professional units were present, examining the scene, and at the same time applying synchronous professional measures to review, search for the subject and evidence of the case according to the traces.

At 4:00 p.m. the same day, the authorities identified the suspect as Ban Van Hop (born in 2008, residing in Mui 1 village, Bao Yen commune) - Mrs. Lan's grandson.
During the summons, Ban Van Hop confessed to his robbery.
Expanding the investigation, at around 10:00 a.m. on August 11, the Criminal Police Department of Lao Cai Provincial Police arrested Pham Hoang Hai Nam (born in 2009, residing in Ban Lien Hai, Bao Ha commune), and at the same time seized the vehicle, weapons for the crime and other related evidence.
At the investigation agency, Ban Van Hop and Pham Hoang Hai Nam confessed that due to lack of money for personal expenses, they discussed breaking into Ms. Phan Thi Lan's house to rob property.

The two subjects prepared a wooden stick about 60cm long and broke into the house, restrained and used a weapon to attack Ms. Lan to rob her property, including a pair of gold earrings (1.5 taels) worn in both ears, a charcoal-blue OPPO A12 phone worth about 6 million VND.
After committing the crime, Hop brought the stolen property home to hide, while Nam fled the area.
Lao Cai Provincial Police are continuing to investigate and clarify to handle the subjects according to the provisions of the law.
