Hung Yen - A large fire in Viet Tien commune burned down a business workshop, causing property damage but fortunately no casualties.

On April 29, a large fire occurred at the household of Mr. Dang Van Tung (Loi Cau village, Viet Tien commune, Hung Yen province), causing significant property damage, causing many people to panic.

According to initial information, the fire broke out from the sewing machine and household appliance business area of the family. Because inside there were many flammable materials such as plastic, fabric and electrical equipment, the fire quickly spread, creating a dense column of black smoke rising tens of meters high, visible from afar.

Discovering the incident, people around shouted for help, using on-site fire fighting equipment to put out the fire, but it was ineffective. Upon receiving the news, local functional forces coordinated with fire prevention and fighting forces to quickly arrive, deploy plans to control and prevent the fire from spreading to the surrounding area.

However, the fire burned down many properties in the workshop, causing significant economic damage. Currently, functional agencies are inspecting the scene, statistics of damage and investigating the cause.

Local authorities recommend that people raise their awareness of fire prevention and fighting, especially in households combining production and business, in order to minimize similar incidents.
