CMC and C4IR promote HCMC towards global AI city

In the context of the 4th industrial revolution (CMCN 4.0) taking place strongly, Ho Chi Minh City has officially put into operation the Center for the 4th Industrial Revolution (HCMC C4IR) with the mission of promoting innovation and transferring advanced technology. CMC Corporation, as one of the founding enterprises, pioneering in the AI ​​transformation strategy, contributes to building Ho Chi Minh City into the "AI City" of the future.

On the evening of December 22, Ho Chi Minh City leaders met with members of the Board of Management, founding members, and members of the C4IR network.

As the host of AI projects at HCMC C4IR, CMC Corporation aims to develop a comprehensive artificial intelligence ecosystem in Ho Chi Minh City. Highlights of CMC's strategy include: Establishing an AI Center of Excellence; Applying AI to city management; Creating the AI-X Festival 2025 to create a playground for students and AI startups to seek innovative ideas, building Ho Chi Minh City into a regional AI innovation center.

Regarding the implementation of AI-X in Ho Chi Minh City, according to the C4IR Center, it will initially be piloted in some locations such as Thu Duc City and Can Gio District, Ho Chi Minh City. It will then be expanded to other administrative units of Ho Chi Minh City. CMC will participate in coordinating the C4IR's regular Policy Reporting group, especially reports on AI and the AI ​​ecosystem.

The cooperation between CMC and C4IR not only creates a favorable environment for innovation, but also helps Ho Chi Minh City strongly develop AI and become the AI ​​center of Vietnam and the region.

HCMC C4IR and the initiatives led by CMC promise to open a new chapter in digital transformation and industrial development in HCMC, contributing to making the city a leading technology center in the region.

The Ho Chi Minh City C4IR Center is one of the important projects in the Memorandum of Understanding between the Vietnamese Government and WEF for the period 2023 - 2026. C4IR identifies 5 key areas to be implemented, including: AI and AI ecosystem; Semiconductors and semiconductor ecosystem; Smart/advanced manufacturing - digital transformation/digitalization; Green, sustainable growth; project finance, green finance.
