Nghe An - Faced with landslides and flooding caused by heavy rain, grassroots police forces stick to the area, put up warning signs, and support people to ensure safety.

On August 22, information from Nghe An Provincial Police said that before the impact of the tropical depression causing heavy rain in the area, the police of communes have strengthened forces to stick to the area, review key areas, and support people to overcome the consequences of natural disasters.

From August 19-20, many areas in Nghe An experienced moderate to heavy rain, causing landslides, fallen trees, localized flooding and water overflowing bridges and spillways.

In Yen Hoa commune, heavy rain accompanied by strong gusts of wind swept away a temporary bridge on the route from Yen Thang village to Coc Tat village, 3 houses and some traffic points were landslides.

Yen Hoa Commune Police have coordinated with functional forces to inspect areas at risk of landslides, handle fallen trees on the road, and install warning signs at dangerous locations.

Meanwhile, in Tam Thai commune, prolonged heavy rain and water from upstream areas caused the water level in streams and creeks to rise.
