On January 19, Ho Chi Minh City Police coordinated with the Department of Administrative Management of Social Order (C06, Ministry of Public Security) and related units to implement the "DNA sample collection program for relatives of unidentified martyrs" in the area.
On January 19, the program will be implemented at stations in Hoc Mon commune, Chau Pha commune and Tan Khanh ward. The program will continue to be implemented at other stations in the city, lasting until January 23.
At the Chau Pha commune station, on the morning of January 19, functional forces received more than 250 DNA samples from relatives of martyrs, most of which were cases where graves had not been found for more than 50 years.
According to Ho Chi Minh City Police, DNA collection is an important basis serving the search, collection and identification of martyrs' remains, contributing to bringing heroic martyrs to their families soon. This activity shows the gratitude and responsibility of today's generation towards the martyrs who fell for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.
