According to the police, recently, the Provincial Police received feedback from many officials, employees, and people about someone calling to claim to be an officer of a social insurance agency (SI), requesting to resolve social insurance, health insurance (HI), unemployment insurance (UI); requesting to re-declare information about SI, HI; instructing to issue consecutive numbers to promptly resolve social insurance procedure documents; requesting to provide personal information to integrate electronic SI, and electronic HI cards.
Faced with the above situation, Ninh Binh Provincial Police have coordinated with the Provincial Social Insurance to verify and determine that this is an act of impersonating an officer of a social insurance agency for the purpose of fraud. Social Insurance agencies do not have the policy of calling, texting friends via the zalo application or sending links, QR codes to support, requesting participants and beneficiaries of social insurance and health insurance policies to provide citizen identification cards (CCCD), personal information to update on the VssID application - Digital Social Insurance or integrating health insurance and CCCD cards, integrating electronic social insurance and electronic health insurance cards.
In order to ensure the confidentiality of personal information of workers and people and avoid being taken advantage of and scammed by bad guys; the Provincial Police recommend that agencies, units, businesses and people absolutely do not provide personal information, account numbers, OTP codes or access strange links sent by people claiming to be social insurance officers. Regularly update information on social insurance and health insurance policies from official sources; monitor announcements and warnings from authorities on methods and tricks of online crimes and fraud,
In addition, carefully check and authenticate before making any online transactions, especially related to personal and financial information. When needing support, consultation, and resolution of problems related to social insurance and health insurance, people should directly contact Ninh Binh Social Insurance or the grassroots social insurance for support and can do so on the National Public Service Portal, Vietnam Social Insurance Public Service Portal, on the VssID application - Digital Social Insurance. Transactions and interactions of participants and beneficiaries of social insurance and health insurance policies with social insurance agencies through the above official channels are not subject to fees.
