On June 29, Go Noi Commune Police said that they had initiated a criminal case, prosecuted the accused and issued an arrest warrant for Nguyen Huu Hai (born in 1994, residing in Xuan Phu commune, Da Nang City) to investigate the act of "Illegally possessing narcotics" under Clause 1, Article 249 of the Penal Code.
Previously, while patrolling and controlling on a rural concrete road in Cam Dong village, the Go Noi Commune Police Task Force discovered Nguyen Huu Hai driving a motorbike with suspicious signs, so they requested an inspection.
Through inspection, the police force discovered in Hai's jacket pocket a package containing white crystals. Working with the police agency, Hai confessed that this was methamphetamine bought for use.
The rapid test results determined that Hai tested positive for the drug Methamphetamine. Based on collected documents and evidence, functional agencies have initiated a criminal case, prosecuted the defendant and temporarily detained Nguyen Huu Hai according to regulations.
Not only handling the above case, Go Noi Commune Police are strengthening the review and management of subjects at risk of violating drug laws in the area.
From June 23 to 28, the unit called, questioned, deterred and quickly tested drugs for 53 cases with criminal records, management subjects, suspects or at risk of violating the law. Through this, functional forces discovered and handled 2 more cases with 2 subjects using illegal drugs, including N.T. T (born in 1989, residing in Tan Binh village) and D. N. T (born in 1999, residing in Xuan Ky village), both residing in Go Noi commune.
Since the beginning of the Action Month for Drug Prevention and Control in 2026, Go Noi Commune Police have summoned, invited to work, deterred and quickly tested 114 cases; discovered and handled 8 cases with 8 drug-related subjects. Among them, there are 1 case of illegal drug trading, 1 case of illegal drug possession and 6 cases of illegal drug use.
