On June 28, Vinh Hoa Commune Police said that the Investigation Police Agency of An Giang Provincial Police has initiated a criminal case, prosecuted the accused and executed an arrest warrant for Nguyen Hoang Hon (born 2003, residing in U Minh Thuong commune, An Giang province) for the act of "Illegally possessing narcotics". At the same time, initiated a criminal case, prosecuted the accused and executed an arrest warrant for temporary detention for To Thanh Nhan (born 2005, residing in Vinh Hoa commune) for the act of "Organizing the illegal use of narcotics".
Previously, through grasping the situation in the area, Vinh Hoa Commune Police discovered that Nguyen Hoang Hon had suspicious signs related to drugs in Can Vam A hamlet, Vinh Hoa commune, so they conducted an inspection and discovered that Hon was hiding a nylon bag containing white crystals suspected of being drugs. The examination results determined that the crystals were Methamphetamine drugs.
In another case, through grasping the situation in the area, Vinh Hoa Commune Police coordinated with functional forces to investigate and clarify the case with signs of organizing the illegal use of drugs that occurred at To Thanh Nhan's house. Through inspection, the Police force discovered Nhan and another subject using drugs illegally; seized Methamphetamine drugs and related tools.
Currently, the Provincial Police Investigation Agency continues to investigate and clarify the cases for handling according to the provisions of law.
