Lao Cai - 3 teenage girls in Ta Van commune who voluntarily left home to find jobs through social networks were promptly searched by the police and brought back safely.

On June 15, Lao Cai Provincial Police said that Ta Van Commune Police promptly searched and supported to bring 3 young women in the area back to their families safely after they voluntarily left home to find jobs through recruitment information on social networks.

Previously, at about 1:40 pm on June 10, Ta Van Commune Police received a report from Mr. S.A.P (born in 1986, residing in Thao Hong Den village, Ta Van commune) about his daughter S.T. S (born in 2011) and two friends S.T. X (born in 2013) and S.T. G (born in 2011) having left home.

According to the report, the children contacted and exchanged information with some accounts posting job recruitment information on Facebook before leaving.

Determining that this was an incident related to a minor, posing a potential safety risk, Ta Van Commune Police urgently deployed measures to verify and review information, and at the same time coordinated with relevant units to organize searches.

Through verification, functional forces determined that the 3 children were resting in Bat Xat commune.

Immediately after that, Ta Van Commune Police coordinated with Bat Xat Commune Police to approach, propagate, mobilize and take the children to the Coc San Commune Police headquarters to ensure safety.

At about 3:20 pm on the same day, after completing the necessary procedures, the police force handed over all 3 children to their families to continue taking care of and managing them according to regulations.

According to Lao Cai Provincial Police, quickly receiving information, verifying and successfully searching for the children has contributed to preventing risks that may arise from recruitment information of unclear origin on social networks.

The incident is also a warning to parents and students about the risks of accessing and trusting job offers in cyberspace.

Appreciating the sense of responsibility and dedicated support of the police force, representatives of the children's families sent a thank-you letter to Ta Van Commune Police.

Through the incident, the police agency recommends that parents need to strengthen care and management of their children, especially during summer vacation; regularly guide skills in using social networks safely and be vigilant against recruitment information of unknown origin.

For students, before decisions related to studying, work or moving out of residence, it is necessary to discuss with family and relatives; do not voluntarily meet or follow the instructions of strangers acquainted through social networks. When detecting unusual signs, people need to promptly notify the police agency for support.
