At noon on May 4, a fire occurred in My Son village, Ba Na commune, Da Nang due to people treating vegetation that was not safe.
In dry weather conditions, strong winds, the fire quickly broke out and spread, threatening forest areas as well as neighboring areas.

Upon receiving the news, officers and soldiers of the Ba Na Commune Military Command urgently mobilized forces to the scene, coordinated with local forces to quickly cordon off the fire area, clear vegetation, and use blowers and handicrafts to put out the fire.
With a spirit of urgency, determination, sticking to the scene to the end, the forces promptly controlled and extinguished the fire, preventing the fire from spreading, minimizing damage.
The incident continues to be a warning about the risk of forest fires in the hot season. Reality shows that the cause of forest fires largely still stems from the subjectivity and lack of awareness of a part of the people in using fire, such as burning garbage, treating vegetation, burning fields improperly.

Ba Na commune is an area with a large forest area, complex hilly terrain, many forest areas interspersed with residential areas. Therefore, just a small mistake in the process of using fire can lead to fire spreading, causing serious consequences.
Local authorities recommend that people need to raise awareness of forest fire prevention and fighting; absolutely do not arbitrarily burn vegetation, burn garbage, use fire in and near forest areas when safety conditions are not ensured.
