In order to proactively respond to the risk of forest fires during the peak dry season of 2026, the Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Police Department of An Giang Provincial Police organized a working session combined with actual inspection of forest fire prevention and fighting work at the An Ninh Khu 9 historical relic site and the production forest of the Provincial Police.
At the working session, unit leaders directly inspected the current status of the forest, water sources for firefighting, vehicles, equipment and on-site forces. Through inspection, it was found that the forest areas are basically managed and protected strictly; the work of clearing vegetation, arranging patrol and guard forces is seriously implemented, especially during the peak dry season.

However, in the face of prolonged hot weather, the risk of forest fires is always latent at a high level, leaders of the Fire and Rescue Police Department requested relevant units and forces to continue to improve vigilance, not to be subjective or negligent. Strengthen propaganda and remind officers, soldiers and people to strictly comply with regulations on forest fire prevention and fighting; proactively build and review fire fighting plans suitable for each area, ensuring "4 on-site".
The unit also emphasized maintaining the duty regime, being ready with forces and vehicles, promptly handling arising situations, and preventing large fires from occurring, causing damage to forest resources, the environment and historical and cultural values at the Relic Site.
Through the inspection, in order to promptly detect and rectify shortcomings and limitations in forest fire prevention and fighting; and at the same time improve the responsibility of units and forces in forest management and protection, contributing to maintaining security, order and protecting forest resources in the province.
