Sacrifice to protect the border
On the afternoon of May 20, Bu Purang Border Guard Station, Dak Nong Border Guard held a ceremony to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Traditional Day (May 20, 1975 - May 20, 2025).
This is an opportunity for delegates to recall the memories of a difficult but glorious time of the border guards.

After the great victory in the spring of 1975, our country has been unified, but the security situation in the Central Highlands, especially the border, is still complicated.
On May 20, 1975, Bu P'rang People's Armed Police Station (now Bu P'rang Border Guard Station) was established.
The station's task is to protect a 16.5km border section in Quang Truc commune (Dak Nong district, Dak Lak (now Tuy Duc district, Dak Nong).

From February 25, 1976 to May 17, 1978, the station faced 127 large and small battles conducted by the Pon Pon Pon force. One of the most notable battles was the 46-day and night siege, from April 2 to May 17, 2017.
Border guards and soldiers demonstrated a brave and resilient spirit in responding to many enemy attacks, destroying 69 enemy names and destroying many military equipment.
During the border war, 16 officers and soldiers heroically sacrificed.
With that achievement, on November 6, 1978, the Party and State awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces to Bu Prang Station.
