The Party Committee of the Ha Tien International Border Guard Station, under the Kien Giang Provincial Border Guard Party Committee, has just held a general congress for the 2025-2030 term.
During the term, the Party Committee and the unit's Command Committee have developed a Resolution on leadership and direction of the work of each major sector close to the actual situation in the area and the political tasks of the unit. Comprehensively and synchronously deploy border defense measures, organize management, firmly protect territorial sovereignty and border security, no encroachment or invasion. Protect border lines and landmarks, and effectively implement legal documents on management and protection of land borders between Vietnam and Cambodia. Coordinate to handle cases well, especially illegal entry and exit prevention and control, crime prevention and control. Coordinate and support the forces building the border patrol road well, up to now the border patrol road in the area of the basic management unit has been completed.
In particular, during the period of preventing and fighting the COVID-19 epidemic, the unit has done a good job of coordinating with forces and localities to strictly control and manage borders and sea areas, and has been recognized and highly appreciated by all levels and sectors, worthy of being the frontline force to protect the Fatherland.
The fight against, prevention and control of drugs and crimes has achieved many outstanding results, promptly coordinated to resolve cases, did not form a hot spot, and effectively fought against all types of crimes. Since the beginning of the term, 48 cases and 68 subjects have been coordinated to be prosecuted. The seized exhibits included more than 150,000 packs of smuggled cigarettes, nearly 4,000 boxes of cosmetics, foreign wine... and many other goods, with fines of over 9 billion VND.
Advising the People's Committee of Ha Tien City to issue a decision to recognize 23 households participating in border self-management, national border markers, 10 Self-management teams for security and order in the border area, 13 groups of safe ships...

The Congress elected the Executive Committee of the Party Committee of the Ha Tien International Border Guard Station for the 2025 - 2030 term, consisting of 7 comrades. The Congress also elected a delegation to attend the Provincial Border Guard Party Congress, consisting of 16 comrades. In the first meeting, the Executive Committee of the new term 2025 - 2030 also elected the Secretary, Deputy Secretary, Inspection Committee, and Chairman of the Inspection Committee. Lieutenant Colonel Do Thanh Tung was re-elected as Party Secretary.
