The Chairman of the People's Committee of Lanh Ngoc commune, Da Nang, has just decided to impose an administrative fine of 2 million VND on Mr. Ph.H. V, residing in Tien Lanh village.
Mr. V. was determined to have burned fields, rice fields, and vegetation to prepare forest land and reduce flammable materials in the forest but did not notify or properly implement regulations on fire use.
The above act violates point i, clause 2, Article 19 of Decree No. 146/2026/ND-CP dated May 6, 2026 of the Government on sanctioning administrative violations in the field of forestry.
According to the People's Committee of Lanh Ngoc commune, the handling aims to raise awareness of law compliance and limit the risk of forest fires during prolonged hot and dry weather.
In recent days, Da Nang has experienced a period of intense heat. The highest temperature is commonly from 36 to 38°C, in some places above 39°C. The relative lowest humidity is from 35 to 50%, the hot time lasts from 10 to 15 hours each day.
