The activity is organized annually by the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang Tourist Beaches and the Da Nang City Youth Union to protect the ecosystem in the coastal area.
This is an activity to connect clubs, teams, and groups to join hands to preserve, protect, and create conditions for the development of coral reefs and marine ecosystems. At the same time, it contributes to raising awareness of the community and tourists about protecting the coral's living environment when visiting Son Tra peninsula, building and promoting the image of green tourism with the message "Son Tra Peninsula - Green Destination".
Accordingly, the activity had about 1,000 volunteers participating in cleaning on the land and about 100 volunteers cleaning underwater.
Volunteers will conduct diving to collect garbage and rescue coral, cutting ghost nets, cleaning in the coral protection area - Hon Sup, Son Tra peninsula and transporting garbage to shore and then collect.
As for on-site cleaning activities, volunteers will be divided into groups, each group has a team leader responsible for operating and ensuring the safety of the group members. Each group will be given trash bags, handbags and garbage clips to collect trash.


Speaking at the program, Mr. Phan Minh Hai - Deputy Head of the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang tourist beaches, said that garbage collection and collection activities are organized regularly to preserve the marine environment and Son Tra peninsula.
