On June 7 and 8, 2025, the activity "Change clothes to get trees" at lane 128C Dai La, Hai Ba Trung (Hanoi) attracted a large number of participants because of the practical meaning that the program brought.
As part of a series of environmental activities, responding to World Environment Day (May 5), Change clothes for trees is known as a very meaningful campaign in the Green Life project (a youth project for the community).
Accordingly, every 5 sets of clothes will be converted into 1 stone lotus tree and participants can buy other products to raise charity funds.
Ms. Phuong Thanh Huyen - member of the Organizing Committee of the Green Life project - said that in this campaign, those items will be taken to charity and can be sold to raise funds for those in difficult circumstances.
Currently, the project is planning to open a new branch at 295 Bach Mai, Hai Ba Trung District (Ha In). This project specializes in selling trees and green products, contributing to raising people's awareness, and at the same time having more money to donate to charitable organizations" - Ms. Huyen shared.
Through information researched on mass media, Phong Nguyen Bao Thy (Hai Ba Trung, Hanoi) learned about the campaign "Change clothes for trees" and participated.
Bao Thy excitedly shared: This project is not only useful for the environment but also helps children in difficult circumstances. Hopefully the campaign will develop further, attract a large number of participants and spread this good meaning".
According to statistics from the Organizing Committee, during the 2 days of the event, more than 100 people participated in this activity. The Organizing Committee collected a lot of clothes and presented trees to the participants.
The "Change clothes for trees" campaign is an opportunity for the community to join hands to spread a green lifestyle, contributing to environmental protection, improving the quality of a greener, cleaner and more beautiful life.
