Hung Yen - The Department of Finance requests the 2nd posting of information to select investors for two 220kV power lines serving the Thai Binh LNG Thermal Power Plant Project.

Hung Yen Provincial Department of Finance has just requested the Office of Hung Yen Provincial People's Committee to coordinate in publishing information for the 2nd time to select investors to implement 2 220kV power lines serving the Thai Binh LNG Thermal Power Plant Project.

Two projects are called for investment including: 220kV LNG Thai Binh - Tien Lang power line and 220kV LNG Thai Binh - Truc Ninh power line. The power lines pass through the provinces of Hung Yen, Hai Phong and Ninh Binh.

The goal of the project is to transmit capacity from Thai Binh LNG Thermal Power Plant (capacity 1,500MW) to the national power system, contributing to ensuring power supply and serving socio-economic development in the Northern region.

In terms of scale, the project will build 2 new 220kV power lines, each line with 2 circuits. Among them, the Thai Binh - Tien Lang line is about 56km long, and the Thai Binh - Truc Ninh line is about 50km long. The total land area used is about 255ha, including about 20ha of baseline land and 235ha of corridor land. The power pole system is designed in the form of a steel tower.

The form of investor selection is to approve investors without auctioning land use rights, without bidding to select investors.

Thai Binh LNG Thermal Power Plant project with a capacity of 1,500MW is implemented by a consortium of investors including Tokyo Gas Co., Ltd., Kyuden International Group and Truong Thanh Vietnam Industry Joint Stock Company. The project has a land and water surface use scale of about 269.43ha, with a total investment of more than 47,000 billion VND.

This is not just a simple energy project but also has strategic significance for the socio-economic development of Hung Yen province. When put into operation, the project will supplement a clean and stable source of electricity for the Northern region, contributing to reducing dependence on coal-fired power, meeting peak hour electricity demand and increasing flexibility for the national power system.

In addition, the project is expected to create a large source of revenue for the budget, create jobs for thousands of workers, and at the same time promote the formation of an energy center associated with industry, services and logistics. Thereby, contributing to attracting investment, creating new development momentum and gradually improving the province's economic position in the coming period.

Investors participating in registration must bear all costs and risks in case the project is not approved, and at the same time be responsible before the law for the accuracy and truthfulness of the dossier.
