Clean water contest spreads hygiene awareness to Nghe An students

Nghe An - The contest to learn knowledge about clean water and hygiene at Thanh Giang Elementary School contributes to raising awareness for students.

Within the framework of the "Clean Drinking Water for the Community" project supported by Procter & Gamble globally, the Nghe An Provincial Red Cross Society has coordinated to organize a contest to learn about clean water and hygiene knowledge at Thanh Giang Primary School, Bich Hao commune.

The contest aims to raise awareness and change the behavior of students and the community in using safe drinking water, practicing proper personal hygiene, contributing to preventing diseases related to water sources. At the same time, this is also a useful educational playground, strengthening coordination between schools, families and localities in communication about clean water and environmental sanitation.

Participating in the contest are teams from primary and secondary schools in 3 communes Bich Hao, Kim Bang and Xuan Lam. Among them, Bich Hao commune has 2 teams, Kim Bang and Xuan Lam communes each unit has 1 team, each team consists of 5 students.

The teams went through 3 parts of the competition including: greeting - propaganda, knowledge competition and joint effort competition. The content revolved around knowledge about clean water, personal hygiene, water treatment at households and disease prevention.

The highlight of the contest is that the competition sections are designed to be lively, suitable for the age of students, helping them both learn and play, absorb knowledge naturally and effectively. In addition, games for audiences with content related to media leaflets and memory tests also attracted the enthusiastic participation of a large number of students and teachers.

The contest was organized thoughtfully, safely, economically, creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere, contributing to spreading the message about using clean water and maintaining hygiene in the community.

As a result, the organizing committee awarded the First Prize to Vo Liet Secondary School; the Second Prize belonged to Thanh Luong Secondary School; 2 Third Prizes were awarded to Thanh Lam Primary & Secondary School and Thanh Giang Primary & Secondary School.
