On February 1, at Mui Ne flying sand dunes, Phan Thiet city, Binh Thuan province, the Mui Ne Sand Dune Race - Spring At Ty 2025 took place. The tournament attracted 341 athletes to participate.
These athletes come from 22 delegations from communes and wards in Phan Thiet city, neighboring districts, high schools in the area, Mui Ne border guard station and especially 1 Korean tourist participating.
Today is also the peak time for tourists to visit the sand dunes, so many locals and tourists stood on both sides of the running track to cheer on the athletes.
Running on sand dunes is a difficult terrain, because the sand sinks your feet and the hot weather consumes more energy than running on long distances, so recently many athletes have trained their endurance by running on sand.
At the end of the competition, the Organizing Committee awarded prizes to individuals and groups with outstanding achievements.
With the message "Celebrating the Party, Celebrating the Year of the Snake", the race created a vibrant and joyful atmosphere in the first days of spring, while hoping for a new year of good health and luck.
