On February 24, the Office of the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and Search and Rescue (PCTT&TKCN) of Hue City issued a warning to functional units, localities and owners of irrigation and hydroelectric reservoirs about the strengthening of cold air, causing heavy rain and strong winds at sea.
From the evening of February 23, cold air affected Hue City, causing rain, some places had moderate to heavy rain. On February 24-25, Hue City will have scattered showers and thunderstorms. The weather will turn cold at night and in the morning, with the lowest temperature ranging from 15 - 17°C (A Luoi mountain area) and 17 - 19°C (other areas).
The strongest cold spell is forecast to occur from the night of February 26 to 28. The sea area has strong winds of level 6 - 7, gusts of level 8 - 9, rough seas, waves 2 - 4m high.
The Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control of Hue City requires units to closely monitor weather developments through the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the Hue City Hydro-Meteorological Station, the Hue-S application and the Facebook page of the Steering Committee. At the same time, urgently notify ship owners and boats to proactively avoid strong winds at sea.
