In July 2025, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province submitted a document to the People's Council on adding support funds for those being cared for at SOS Children's Village Nha Trang to the 2025 budget estimate Resolution.
In recent years, SOS Children's Village Nha Trang has operated based on the aid funds of the SOS Children's Village International and the budget of Khanh Hoa province (2020), socialized.
By 2024, the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (old) announced that from 2025, the International SOS Children's Village organization will stop supporting 6 SOS Children's Villages, including Nha Trang SOS Children's Village.
According to a report by the Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Health, at SOS Children's Village Nha Trang, there are 20 staff, employees, and mothers taking care of and raising 112 children.
Although the Ministry of Health has taken over the management of the SOS Children's Village Office of Vietnam (March 2025), the Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Health has not yet received a document from the Ministry and the SOS Children's Village Office of Vietnam guiding on the organization model.
The Department of Health has also not yet received instructions from the Ministry on clarifying that the direct management unit of SOS Children's Village Nha Trang is the SOS Children's Village Office of Vietnam (under the Ministry of Health) or the Department of Health (the specialized agency of the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee).
Therefore, it is very necessary to issue specific policies of Khanh Hoa province to support, care for, and nurture subjects at SOS Children's Village Nha Trang.
The total estimated budget from June to the end of 2025 at SOS Children's Village Nha Trang is more than 1 billion VND.
