On August 2, the Party Committee and People's Committee of Hung My commune (Vinh Long province) coordinated with the sponsoring unit to organize the inauguration ceremony and put into use Nhat Tam rural traffic bridge No. 52 in Phuoc Hao hamlet.
Nhat Tam bridge No. 52 is 27m long, 2.7m wide, with a load capacity of 300kg, built with a structure including 3 load-bearing platforms, 12 reinforced concrete pillars and a solid concrete bridge deck. The total construction cost of the project is 250 million VND.
In which, Mr. Kim Ngoc Thai - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Long province and local people contributed 50 million VND. The remaining funding is mobilized by Venerable Thich Nguyen Ngoc - Abbot of Long Hoa Pagoda (Tra Cu commune) to support philanthropists in Ho Chi Minh City.
Putting Nhat Tam bridge No. 52 into use contributes to completing rural transport infrastructure, creating favorable conditions for people to travel and transport agricultural products, and at the same time helping students go to school safer and more conveniently.
On this occasion, philanthropists also presented 100 gifts including necessities and school bags to 50 households and 50 students in difficult circumstances in the commune.
