On March 15, the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province issued regulations on conditions for ensuring traffic routes for vehicles performing fire fighting tasks in areas with multi-storey houses and many apartments for rent by individuals in the area.
In particular, individuals who build houses with 2 floors or more, with a scale of less than 20 apartments and each floor has a design and construction of an apartment for rent must meet traffic conditions for fire fighting vehicles to perform their duties.
That is, the road surface width must not be less than 3.5m; ensuring the requirement for fire trucks to operate and be ventilated according to regulations. For small and narrow traffic routes that are only suitable for one lane, at least every 100m, a road section of at least 8m long and at least 7m wide must be designed so that fire trucks and other vehicles can easily avoid each other.
Units including the Department of Construction, the Provincial Police, district-level localities, and related units will apply the above contents from March 21 when granting construction permits, along with legal regulations on planning, construction, housing, and fire prevention and fighting.
At the same time, promptly advise the Provincial People's Committee to consider and resolve issues arising and problems in the implementation process.
