On July 18, Hung Yen Provincial Police announced that the Investigation Police Agency of the Provincial Police had just issued a Decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused and arrest the accused to temporarily detain Nguyen Van Soan (born in 1982, residing in Lac Dao commune, Hung Yen province) for tax evasion.
According to the police, through the work of grasping the situation, the Economic Police Department of the Provincial Police discovered that the business household Nguyen Van Soan had signs of tax evasion.
The investigation determined that from December 2019 to March 21, 2025, Soan used workshop No. 12 (area of 642m2) of Dong Mai Craft Village Company Limited in Dong Mai Craft Village area (in Lac Dao commune) as an area for gathering, demolishing lead batteries and storing finished lead molds.
From 2020 to 2024, Soan had sales that declared a lack of revenue and tax with the My Hao - Van Lam Inter-district Tax Team (old), with a revenue of VND 15,000,000/month (equivalent to VND 180,000,000/year). Although the total actual annual revenue is more than the tax declaration and payment, the resulting tax loss to the State budget is more than 4 billion VND.
The Investigation Police Agency of Hung Yen Province Police is consolidating the case file to handle the subject according to the provisions of the law.
