The Community Tet program was held in a space imbued with the traditional Tet identity. The embassy was decorated with peach and apricot blossoms and green Chung cakes, along with traditional dishes such as Chung cakes, pork rolls, etc., creating a familiar corner of Vietnam right in the heart of Madrid.
Speaking at the opening of the event, Ambassador Doan Thanh Song sent New Year greetings to the entire Vietnamese community in Spain, and affirmed: "The Community Tet is not only an occasion for us to look back on the achievements of the past year, but also an opportunity to maintain and promote traditional cultural values, connecting the overseas Vietnamese community."
The Ambassador also expressed his hope that the Vietnamese community in Spain will continue to unite, preserve national identity and actively contribute to the development of both countries.
Sharing with the press, Ms. Le Thi Diem Hang, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Vietnamese Liaison Committee in Spain, said: "The Community Tet is an opportunity for us not only to celebrate a warm Tet together but also to look back on the journey of building a united and strong community in Spain. We believe that, with the spirit of mutual love and love for the homeland's culture, the Vietnamese community here will continue to develop, becoming an important bridge between Vietnam and Spain in many fields."
She also emphasized the important role of organizing events such as Tet Cong Dong so that the young generation of Vietnamese born and raised in Spain can understand and appreciate the traditional cultural values of the nation. "This is how we preserve and transmit the Vietnamese identity to our children in the future."
The 2025 Community Tet has ended with vibrant songs, dances and hopeful New Year wishes. The Vietnamese community in Spain promises to continue to unite, together preserve and spread Vietnamese culture, while contributing to the prosperity of the homeland and the host country.
