On May 5, information from the Dak Nong Provincial Department of Finance said that in the first months of the year, the province's economic indicators achieved quite well, many sectors contributing to GRDP all had great growth.
In the first quarter of 2025, Dak Nong's GRDP growth reached 7.7%, exceeding the plan by 0.25% and increasing by 1.93% over the same period in 2024. With this result, GRDP Dak Nong ranks 2nd in the Central Highlands region, just after Kon Tum.
For example, in the industrial and construction sectors, the number of applications is also remarkable. In the first quarter of 2025 alone, the industrial production index increased by 5.89% over the same period in 2024. The disbursement of Dak Nong public investment capital is 192/4,041.4 billion VND, reaching 4.76%.
Also according to the Department of Finance, the disbursement rate of the whole province reached 9.16%, higher than the national average. With this result, Dak Nong ranks 34th out of 63 provinces and cities nationwide.
In particular, the budget collection sector in the first quarter of 2025 achieved very impressive figures. As of March 31, the State budget revenue was VND 1,471 billion, reaching 52% of the central estimate, behind behind behind behind the local estimate, up 37% over the same period last year.
Acting Director of the Department of Finance Tran Dinh Ninh said that in the first months of the year, Dak Nong's growth was quite stable.
Up to now, many large projects have started construction and come into operation. These are expected to be bright spots for the province's GRDP to continue to accelerate.
In particular, on April 28, 2025, Dak Nong started the Component Project 2, part of the Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh Expressway Project, with capital to be disbursed in 2025.
For the Gia Nghia Central Square Project, there is a filling material mine. In the coming time, the contractor will continue to speed up construction, gradually completing the project. This will increase the public investment disbursement rate, contributing to GRDP growth.
In April 2025, Dak Nong aluminum Fertilizer Power Plant began transporting and installing machinery and equipment to prepare for operation. This sector will contribute to increasing local budget revenue.
"The province is also actively completing all documents and procedures to grant investment policies for bauxite mining and processing projects. If everything goes well, the province's investment attraction sector will have a new shift, contributing to the socio-economic development of the locality," Mr. Ninh affirmed.
