Shooting event of the 2026 People's Police Sports Festival kicks off in Quang Ninh

Quang Ninh - Shooting in the framework of the 2026 Military, Martial Arts and People's Police Sports Festival officially kicked off on the morning of May 23.

Shooting competition at the National Training Center for Counter-Terrorism K02, Dong Mai ward, Quang Ninh province.

Shooting is one of the 7 sports of the Military, Martial Arts and Sports Festival of the People's Police in 2026 held in Quang Ninh.

On the first day of competition, 102 athletes from 17 teams from police units and localities across the country participated in competition in the following events: Exercise 2 (combined pistol firing point shooting AK submachine gun during the day for 3 male athletes) and exercise 3 (combined pistol firing point shooting MP5 submachine gun during the day for 3 female athletes).

The competition events took place in a serious atmosphere, in accordance with regulations, ensuring absolute safety for people, weapons, and equipment.

Many athletes showed skills in using weapons, stable competition psychology and good coordination in the squad.

At the end of the first day of competition, the Organizing Committee awarded prizes to collectives and individuals with high achievements.

In the men's team event, the first prize belonged to Hanoi City Police; 2 second prizes belonged to Quang Ninh Provincial Police and Bac Ninh Provincial Police.

In the women's team event, the first prize belonged to Cao Bang Provincial Police; 2 second prizes belonged to Lang Son Provincial Police and Son La Provincial Police.

In the men's individual event of the AK submachine gun point shooting combined pistol, the athlete from Quang Ninh Provincial Police won the First Prize. The Second Prize belonged to the Phu Tho Provincial Police athlete.

In the women's individual event, the first prize belonged to the Phu Tho Provincial Police athlete; the second prize belonged to the Cao Bang Provincial Police athlete.

According to the plan, the shooting event will take place until the end of May 26 with 9 shooting exercises in many different events.
