On August 1, social networks spread a photo recording the scene of a young man breathing artificially, saving a girl from drowning in a villa's swimming pool in Vung Tau ward (HCMC), causing a stir among many people.
According to initial information, when the two girls were swimming in a swimming pool at the villa but were not observed by adults, one of them fell into a deep area in the pool. The mother jumped down to save her child but did not know how to swim so she gradually sank.
Hearing the screams of the other girl, a young man jumped down and brought the mother and child to shore, then underwent artificial breathing. Fortunately, the girl regained consciousness and was transferred to the hospital for emergency care. The young man who promptly saved this child was Cao Thanh Dat (26 years old, living in Vung Tau ward). Mr. Dat said that thanks to timely emergency care, the child has stabilized and recovered.
According to Mr. Dat, the above incident is a warning to parents to monitor their children more carefully when they are exposed to deep water, equip them with swimming skills... or at least equip children with skills in handling first aid situations in a timely manner, to quickly react when an incident occurs, to avoid unfortunate situations.
